This month Tlaloc Conservation published a natural history note in the herpetology journal “Revista Latinoamericana de Herpetología”. The publication officially described the range extension for a very difficult to detect and little known treefrog species, Ecnomiohyla sukia. On a tour in search of the Jicaro Danto, one of our collaborators, Michiel Van Noppen, found an individual of this species. In 2017, Freddy Quesada, an official from the Pitilla Biological Station, also found an individual of this species. The two combined efforts to publish this note, and the Tlaloc team is very excited to share new information on this species with the herpetology community.
Science is about collaboration, about reminding ourselves that we all have the same goal of protecting and conserving the natural world.
